I had to step out last week for some groceries. There have been only 1-2 confirmed cases in the part of the city where I live but overall in Mumbai there are already 8-9 deaths and close to 150 confirmed cases.

Blimey Christine - abit colder than us then ? You are brave - I remember Christmas day 2009, I walked up to look after a lady - it was -20, I thought my face would freeze lol. I saw the river was frozen on the news, our newscaster was so excited lol.

Can't wait to leave for Palm Springs tomorrow. Weather will be 70°F or 21° C.

Well guys...its almost 6 am and it's -26.6°C here...did the conversion. Hah. And there's plenty of snow and ice everywhere. The Chicago river even froze. Rather rare. Pretty much some of the coldest I have ever experienced here. But I braved it in my winter finery and walked to the store yesterday! Pretty barren out there given that it was the middle of the work week. Crazy crazy crazy. Cold. But my heart is right at home! ?
