Ivo Karlovic officially retires

Absent from the ATP circuit since 2021, Ivo Karlovic has confirmed what seemed to have become inevitable. At 44, the Croatian officially announced his retirement from professional tennis on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
In 24 years of career (1997-2021), the giant from Zagreb (2 meters 11) won 8 ATP titles, contested 19 finals, served 13,728 aces, struck the 2nd fastest service in history (251 km/h) behind John Isner (253 km/h), reached the 14th place worldwide (2008), played the quarterfinals at Wimbledon (2009), defeated Federer once and twice Djokovic.
